Description

This 1979 Mooney 231, found in West Texas, was owned by the same person since 1984. It was purchased in April 2012 and taken to Lubbock Aviation for a thorough annual inspection. It has been regularly maintained by Mooney Service Centers and is ready to fly. The 2021 annual inspection is scheduled with Don Maxwell Aviation on August 1, 2021, which can be kept for the new owner if desired. The paint is original except for the cowling and prop, and is in good condition with some thin spots and sun damage. The interior is mostly new, with seats recovered in 2017 and repainted walls. The engine was overhauled in September 2014, with all accessories and a new fuel system installed. It has flown 197.43 hours since overhaul. The propeller was installed in June 2013 and has flown 234.13 hours since overhaul. It features a Century 4 Autopilot, Garmin GMA340 audio panel, Garmin GNS 480 WAAS, Collins NAV/COM, Garmin GTX-27 Transponder, Garmin GDL-82 ADSB Out, and JPI EDM-800 Engine Monitor. The annual inspection was completed on July 8, 2020. The interior was renovated in 2017 by Hoover Interiors. This aircraft is kept ready for business use.
